LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING, THE
Rated:(PG-13)

Sure to entice Tolkien fans, this first of three Ring installments is bound to draw the uninitiated to the power of the ring. Although too dark and violent for young children, teens and adults will respond to the epic nature of this timeless myth written in the 1950s, but set in an imaginary Middle Earth. Clocking in at three hours, it's occasionally sluggish, but it's a stylish and generally engrossing production.
