Defying the rule of diminishing returns that govern most horror franchises, both Paranormal Activity sequels are as good as the original. The third—actually a prequel—retains the signature found-footage gimmick, but explorea ill-fated sisters Katie and Kristi's first run-in with the supernatural and answers some of the questions raised in the previous two films.
